GARNETT — The Fish Trot for kids will be Saturday afternoon. Registration will be at the batting cages in Garnett’s North Lake Park at 5. The youthful anglers will go to the children’s fishing pond at the Garnett Country Club golf course. The fish trot is free. Every child who enters wins a prize. Children need to bring their own fishing poles and a guardian or even the entire family. In addition, the Friends of the Prairie Spirit Trail are inviting kids to take in the Kansas Wildlifer Challenge program this summer. The Fish Trot will give kids 2 of the 15 required challenges.
