LAWRENCE — The Kansas University Natural History Museum will have a field trip to KU’s new wetlands on 2 p.m., Sunday, June 5. Wetlands manager Roger Boyd will discuss the development of the 142-acre wetlands, which are east of U.S. 59 and next to the larger Baker Wetlands. Participants will have the opportunity to sieve for aquatic specimens, learn about sustaining wetlands ecosystems and be introduced to history of the wetlands. Tour size is limited and registration is requested by June 3. The tour costs $5 per adult for members of Museum Friends and $7 for the public.
