OTTAWA – Habitat for Humanity surprised an Ottawa family this past Thursday with news of being selected to own a new house. The John and Alice Jones family submitted a “strong application” that indicated the family’s school involvement, as well as numerous letters of recommendation. The Jones will contribute 200-300 of “sweat equity” toward the renovation of their future home on S. Walnut. Once the renovation is complete, they will sign a 15-30 year interest –free mortgage with Habitat of Humanity of Franklin County.
