OTTAWA – Wellsville will be inducting new members to its wall of fame Saturday. Inductees for 2011 include the 1987state championship boys basketball team and Richard Raugewitz. The basketball team was the first basketball team in the school’s history to win a Kansas State Championship. In the 1986-87 school year the team had an impressive record of 25-1. The other inductee, Raugewitz, is noted for the passion he had as a teacher. He taught history and government and encouraged his students to take an active role in their learning. The ceremony will be held Saturday, May 21 in the Kermit Deterding Gymnasium in Wellsville and will begin at 5 p.m.
