OTTAWA- The 2011 Kansas Governors Choice Awards for the Art is Ageless competition have been selected. Art is Ageless is a competition held for seniors to have their artwork appear in an annual calendar. the competition is hosted by the Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America. Kansas’ First Lady Mary Brownback said that “Art is a lifelong expression of creativity which is not lost when people age.” Brownback honored Clyde Engert for his pencil drawing work in the professional category, and Ralph Keefe in the amateur category for the wood sculpture he carved. Art is ageless has been going strong since its inception in 1980.
