OTTAWA — Franklin County Appraiser’s employees are doing their annual re-inspection of property, including residential, commercial and vacant properties. Appraiser Phil Dudley said residential field appraisers are working in the central part of the county, mainly in the rural areas. Under state law, county appraisal offices must inspect all property at least once every six years. The appraiser’s office will also check those properties where building permits have been issued by the cities or have been filed with the county.
