LAWRENCE — Among the Kansas University students who graduated Saturday – Jeff Robinson of Garnett. Robinson graduated from University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and will go to Minnesota to spend three years as a general pediatrics resident at the Mayo Clinic. Although he graduated from KU with a degree in medicine, he started studying performance piano and received music scholarships from KU.
Robinson said he’s not surprised by the connection of music to medicine. He said the more he meets doctors or people in medicine, the more he hears of their connection with music. He started taking piano lessons as a child in Garnett and continued playing in junior and senior high school.
