TOPEKA — The Miami, Anderson and Linn counties jobless rates dropped in April. The Miami county jobless rate dropped to 7.1 percent in April from 8.9 percent in March. The Anderson County dropped to 7.1 percent from 8.7 percent. The Linn County unemployment rate dropped to 10.2 percent from 12.5 percent. Other county rates include Franklin County, 8.3 percent from 9.9, Johnson County 5.7 percent from 6.4, and Osage County 8.6 from 10.2.
