KANSAS CITY — Kansas City Power & Light has sent 60 of its utility crew members to Joplin, Mo., to help Empire District Electric restore electrical service to the tornado-stricken city. The KCP&L’s Bill Herdegen sad the crews will help rebuild electrical circuits, repair damaged poles and downed lines and help restore power to the more than 19,000 customers without power.
