OTTAWA — Ottawa could receive a grant that help rebuild the intersection at K-68 and Davis Road. City manager Richard Nienstedt the city has received notification that the improvement project is in the running for the grant and told the city to apply. The state has been doing engineering and design studies at and near the intersection, he said. If the city wins the grant, it will help solve a long-running traffic bottleneck, he said. Area industries in the Davis Road Industrial Park have expressed concern about traffic tie-ups at the intersection following shift changes, he said. The area has seen high growth. The proposal could include funding for traffic signals at the intersection.
