OTTAWA- Miami County will be represented by 15 rack athletes in this weekend’s high school state championships in Wichita. the Osawatomie High Trojans qualified for six events, with five of those being individual competitions. Prairie View High School is also sending athletes for six events, five individuals and one team match. The Osawatomie Journal reports that two of the Osawatomie High athletes were named regional champions at the qualifying meet last week. Taylor Soucie won the girls 100 and 300 meter hurdles while Brandon Oakes won the boys 300 meter hurdles. This weekend will mark the end of the high school track season.
