OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie USD 367 will cut about $421,000 from its budget for next year as a result of a state budget passed by the legislature and approved by Gov. Sam Brownback. Supt. Gary French told the Osawatomie Journal that the district will be able to absorb the latest round of state cuts through careful planning and by watching spending and utility costs. He said the cuts were about what he expected and he had planned ahead. However, cuts in later years will be more difficult to handle, he said.
