OTTAWA — Franklin County commissioners approved a new contract Wednesday between the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Franklin County Health Department to inspect day care facilities in Franklin, Anderson and Linn counties. County health director Midge Ransom said because of last year’s Megan’s Law, the state has expanded the requirements for day care centers. The contract includes some extra money for the expanded inspections.
