OTTAWA- Governor Sam Brownback has declared June as Dairy Month in Kansas. Kansas is home to more than 300 dairies that produce more than 50,000 truckloads of milk every year. Brownback released the news to dairy industry representatives at Royal Farms Dairy outside of Garden City yesterday. The Governor said that he made this distinction because of the contribution the industry makes to the local economy and said that “it’s an industry we support and want to expand as we look towards the future.”
