OTTAWA- Governor Sam Brownback announced today nine Northeast Kansas highway expansion projects that will have an economic impact of 8.8 billion dollars. Brownback said that “these projects will create thousands of jobs and benefit local communities during construction,” and will have a lasting economic benefit. The projects include work on highways I-70, K-7, I-35, U.S. 24, U.S. 69, 435, K-18 and the long discussed Southwest Lawrence Traffic Way.
