Ottawa- The Franklin County Optimist Club Youth Day and Duck Run will take place this morning at City Park starting at 9. The event will include many activities including a boat race, a dunk tank, an obstacle course, and a moon walk, among many other features. The day will be finished off with the duck race, which optimist Mark Cation describes as a fun experience with many rewards. The optimist’s Youth Day and Duck Run is the one big fundraising event for the club, and it helps raise money for the different activities the optimist club provides for Franklin County’s youth throughout the year. Tickets for the event can be bought on site and the activities are scheduled to run until noon today. Kofo’s Bob Johnson will be live on location with his broadcast starting at 9.
