GARNETT — Mary Lou (Scheckel) Ruppert has been named the new administrative assistant for the Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce. Ruppert is a Garnett native with many ties to the local community who has relocated back to Garnett. She started June 1. She said her background gives her the perspective of both a local and an outsider that will help her to tackle projects from multiple angles.
