GARNETT — The Garnett Libertyfest is on. The Anderson County Review reported that previously, the Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce had considered ending the annual Independence Day fireworks display because of lack of funds. However, the Review said the chamber has decided to hold the event Sunday, July 3, at the North Lake Park at sunset. The Garnett Area Community Band will perform at 8 before the fireworks. The chamber is asking for donations for Libertyfest. Donations can be made at the chamber office or any donation cans around the city.
