TOPEKA- Kansans living along the Missouri River in the Northeast are being advised to prepare to evacuate. The Kansas Division of Emergency Management says residents should prepare to prevent having to leave behind valuables. Proper preparation includes having an emergency kit ready that would allow a family to survive at least three days on its own. The reservoirs and rivers along the upper Missouri River basin are currently at record levels.
