CARBONDALE — Three men were arrested as a result of a raid on a marijuana farm in northern Osage County Tuesday morning. Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn said Osage and Coffey counties deputies, state troopers and Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents staged the predawn raid on an area along U.S. 75 two miles north of Carbondale. The field was larger than a football field and contained more than 5,000 cultivated marijuana plants, Dunn said. She valued the plants at between $1,000 and $2,000 each. The men were arrested without incident. She didn’t identify them but said they are now in the Osage County jail.
