OTTAWA — Garfield’s new principal will be Amy Wormington. Ottawa Supt. Dean Katt said the school board approved her contract Monday night and she’s already started meeting other administrators. Wormington is coming to Ottawa from the Blue Valley school system. She has already contributed to administrative planning for next year, Katt said. With the departure of assistant superintendent Jean McCally, Wormington will handle much of the curriculum matters for the district which will be a major positive for the district, he said.
