WILLIAMSBURG — The annual Jayhawker Days celebration begins Friday night with the Picnic in the Park, the annual ice cream social and entertainment. Besides a variety of games, entertainment and other events, Saturday’s highlight includes the parade Saturday night at 5 downtown. One of the Jayhawker Days organizers, Lori Hamilton said the theme is “Let’s Have a Hay Day” and all the floats must include hay. The 35th Infantry Division Band will also be in the parade, she said. Other events including a 5-K run-walk, crafts, games and entertainment. Tracy Yarbrough will perform on the bandstand Saturday night from 8 to midnight. A breakfast and Sunday service in the park will be Sunday.
