FRANKLIN COUNTY- High winds in excess of 70 miles per hour last night have left homes around the area in the dark. Kansas City Power and Light reports just over 1400 homes in Ottawa and parts of Franklin and Douglas Counties are currently without power. Miami County is more heavily affected with reports of up to 5000 residences out of electricity. Crews are currently working to restore power.
