OTTAWA — Terry Durbin of Kentucky will have a new role during this week’s Suzuki Institute. Friday afternoon, Durbin, a Suzuki faculty member, will portray the legendary violinist and composer Fritz Kreisler during the final concert at 1:30 p.m. at the Ottawa University Chapel. Durbin has an uncanny resemblance to the Viennese-born Kreisler, who made the U.S. his home and who died in 1962, and he’ll portray and perform as Kreisler, Ottawa Suzuki Strings director Alice Joy Lewis said. That concert, like all Suzuki concerts, are free and open to the public.
