OTTAWA — The Franklin County Conservation District said more money is available for soil and water conservation projects on a cost-share basis. However, you have to apply by next Thursday. Funds are available for such projects such as terraces, waterways, on-site waste systems, abandoned water well plugging, brush control, and livestock water supplies excluding ponds, to be done between August and May 2012.
Applications are available at the Franklin County Conservation District Office, 343 W. 23rd St., Ste. 2; or on the district Web site at www.fccdks.org.
