OTTAWA — The Sunflower Piecemakers quilt show will be from 10 to 5 Saturday and Sunday at the Ottawa Middle School. Guild members will display more than 200 quilts completed during the past year. The 2010 Hoffman Challenge exhibit of 20 quilts using Hoffman’s Treasures Challenge fabric, will be featured. The guild’s challenge, “Favorite Movie,” will showcase quilts made by members who did quilts that reflect their Hollywood favorities. Visitors will have an opportunity to vote for the 2011 Choice Awards. Vendors will offer sewing tools and supplies and guild members will demonstrate quilting techniques and patterns. Sunday afternoon at 3, the guild will auction miniature quilts. Proceeds will benefit the Franklin County Historical Society, Franklin County Visitor’s Center, and the quilt guild. Admission is $3; wheelchairs are available.
