OSAGE CITY — Three people have been charged in connection with a recent raid of a marijuana farm along U.S. 75 north of Carbondale. Marcelo Parra-Ocmo, 41, Kansas City, Mo., and 20-year-old Ernesto Duenas-Acoen were jailed. A 15-year-old teenager was also jailed. Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn said it appears that the trio were living at the site when it was raided by deputies from Osage, Coffey and Lyon counties, Kansas Bureau of Iinvestigation agents and state troopers. Officers confiscated more than 5,000 cultivated marijuana plants. The property owner wasn’t aware of the pot-growing operation, she said.
