OTTAWA — A 44-year-old Pomona man is in the Franklin County jail in connection with a burglary and two-county chase last week. Daniel Anspaugh was booked into the jail for suspicion of burglary, suspicion of theft and criminal damage, and suspicion of attempting to elude law enforcement officers. A neighbor spotted someone at a rural residence west of Richmond and called the sheriff’s department and gave chase to the intruders. Sheriff Jeff Curry said Franklin County deputies joined the chase and followed the man into Osage County, where two men abandoned the truck and tried to flee on foot. A man was captured. A second suspect remains at large, Curry said.
