GARNETT — The city of Garnett is looking for of a new recreation director after the resignation of Josh Elliott. The Anderson County Review reported that city manager Joyce Martin confirmed Elliott’s resignation. She declined to discuss his resignation, saying it was a city personnel issue. Elliott’s resignation comes as the city’s summer ball programs are winding down as June ends. Parks director Herb Waring will be in charge of the rec programs until a replacement for Elliott is hired. Martin said the city had already heard from applicants.
