OTTAWA — Ottawa school officials are waiting on the results of asbestos tests on old ceiling tiles in the old Eisenhower School. The tiles had to be removed to allow the installation of new energy-efficient lights mandated by the federal government. Supt. Dean Katt said once the results are known, the contractor will know how to procee in renovatinv Eisenhower School and converting it into a district office, alternative school, special education offices and other uses. The old school will help the district to consolidate its offices and stop paying rent on other offices across Ottawa, he said. :
