TOPEKA- Drunk driving laws have just gotten stricter. First time offenders of driving under the influence will now be required to install a device in their car that would keep them from driving while intoxicated. Manager of Kansas’ Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Section Pete Bodyk said that this will not only keep drunk drivers off the road, but will allow the offender to continue to drive their vehicle to run necessary errands. The changes in the law go into effect today and more information about them can be found online at www.ksdot.org
