OTTAWA — A 52-year-old Ottawa woman was injured in an accident Sunday morning at Wilson and Main streets and a 28-year-old Ottawa man was bitten by a dog while he was trying to help her. Ottawa police said Joyce Sturm’s car was hit by a truck driven by a 17-year-old Ottawa girl at the intersection. Sturm was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital for what police called non-life threatening injuries. The girl wasn’t injured. Police said Eric Fournier was bitten by a dog while he was helping the accident victims. The owner of the dog was cited for harboring a vicious dog, police said.
