OTTAWA — A kitchen grease fire in the 200 block of West Fourth Friday afternoon generated more excitement and smoke than fire. Assistant fire chief Richard Oglesby said someone tried to put out the grease fire with water, which caused a flashback. The only damage was to the cooking container, he said.
