BURLINGTON — A milling and resurfacing project on U.S. 75 in Coffey County
is set to begin next Tuesday. The Kansas Department of Transportation said the project will be 15½ miles from the north city limits of Burlington to just south of I-35. While work is under way, traffic could be one-lane at some areas. KDOT said a pilot car operation will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone, with delays of 15 minutes or less expected. The work should be finished in two months, weather permitting, KDOT said. Bettis Asphalt & Construction, Topeka, is doing the $1.7 million project as part of the T-Works transportation program.
