OTTAWA — A 47-year-old Ottawa man was jailed in connection with a fight in the 600 block of South Hickory that resulted in a 15-year-old boy being treated at Ransom Memorial Hospital Monday night. Ottawa police said Leonard Collins was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of aggravated battery and suspicion of criminal restraint. Police said his 15-year-old son was released from the hospital after he was treated for injuries from a fight. In an unrelated incident, a 19-year-old Lawrence man told police he had been hit by two other people in the 900 block of South Cypress early Tuesday morning.
