GREELEY — A Wamego man was killed and a Missouri trucker was injured in a head-on crash on U.S. 169 near Greeley late Wednesday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Ronald Winterman, 42, Wamego, was driving north on U.S. 169 when he crossed the centerline and hit a semi-truck driven by Gerald Schneider, 63, Hillsboro, Mo. Winterman’s car rolled and ended up in the east ditch and Schneider’s truck went into the west ditch, troopers said. Winterman was thrown out of his car. Schneider was taken to Anderson County Hospital, Garnett. Winterman was taken to the Shawnee County coroner’s office.
