LAWRENCE — Bicyclist Mikal Bond, 13, Maple Hill, was listed in critical condition Sunday afternoon at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City after she was hit by a pickup about two miles south of Lawrence Sunday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol said the girl was riding east on North 1100 Road and failed to stop at a stop sign on 1055 Road and was hit by a pickup driven by Kathy Robb, 46, Melvern. The girl was taken by Life Star helicopter to the hospital. Robb and her passenger weren’t injured.
