WILLIAMSBURG — A house in the 1200 block of Colorado Road south of Williamsburg received smoke and water damage as a result of an early morning fire today. Williamsburg Fire Chief Ralph Ferguson said no one was at home when the fire occurred. The fire was reported by a neighbor 20 minutes after the family left the house, he said. The fire, which started in a bedroom, didn’t have a chance to get started too far when firefighters arrived, he said. The fire may have started from electrical causes but the investigation was still under way this afternoon, he said. There was no immediate estimate on the damage.
