OTTAWA — Patching work on I-35 in Coffey and Franklin counties will begin next Monday. The Kansas Department of Transportation says the project will start at the Osage-Coffey county line and go northeast for more than 25 miles and end at the Eisenhower Road interchange at Ottawa. Traffic will go to one lane each direction in five-mile-long sections. KDOT said no significant delays are expected. Bryant & Bryant Construction, Halstead, is doing the work for about $370,000. The project is part of the T-Works program and should be finished in two months, KDOT said.
