GARNETT — A groundbreaking ceremony for the new elementary school in Garnett will be tonight at 7. USD 365 is building the new school on the north edge of the city along U.S. 59. The school will replace two older schools in Garnett. Contractors have started dirt work on the $12 million school. A special budget meeting of the school board will follow the ground-breaking tonight at 7:30 at the district office.
