LAWRENCE — A 21-year-old Lawrence man will serve more than five years in prison for injuring a Lawrence police officer in February. The Lawrence Journal-World reported Louis Galloway Jr. was convicted of punching Lawrence police officer Jonathon Evinger during a confrontation in southern Lawrence in which Evinger and another officer were trying to arrest him for driving on a suspended license. Evinger received a permanent eye injury.
