OTTAWA — Long-time Ottawa businessman Bill Henningsen died Tuesday at his home in Ottawa at the age of 58. He was a financial advisor for Edward Jones for 22 years. Until his illness this spring, he served on the board of directors at the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce and was past chairman of the chamber’s Legislative Action Committee. Since 2007, he served on the Ottawa/Franklin County Economic Development committee. He had also been chairman of the Ransom Memorial Hospital Charitable Association and the Franklin County United Way. He was actively involved in the Ottawa youth baseball program for 16 years as a coach and member of the Ottawa American Legion baseball board. A funeral mass will be Saturday morning at 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa.
