OTTAWA — The renovation project at Ransom Memorial Hospital has entered the last lap. One patient wing has been closed for renovation and the “core care area” where doctors and nurses work is being remodeled, said hospital CEO Larry Felix. A new system to move air through the renovated areas has been ordered and will be installed within three to four weeks, he said. The final phase, the renovation of the north patient wing will begin in August and should be done by the end of December, he said. The $9 million project included an expansion of the hospital, including a new birthing center and surgical wing, and improvements in the intensive care unit and patient rooms
