COLONY – U.S. 169 north of colony was reopened shortly before 4 this afternoon. The highway had been blocked north of Colony near 600 Road for about four hours since this morning. The Anderson County Review reported on Facebook that the shutdown of the highway was blocked after the discovery of a suspicious object in a pickup truck along near highway. A bomb squad from Johnson County retrieved the object and exploded it.
