The Kansas town of Reading is in the minds of Anderson County’s Cornstock Organizers. The festival’s committee will be headed to Reading on Thursday to present the mayor with free concert tickets to every Reading resident. The town of Reading was hit with a devastating tornado in May and most of the city was damaged. Cornstock’s committee hopes that its actions will help Reading get more attention, as the town is in need of money and bottled water. Anyone who wants to donate goods may drop them off at the Garnett Recreation Center by noon Thursday, or send monetary donations to the United Way of Flint Hills.
