OTTAWA- The economy may stink, but the people of Ottawa don’t! The third annual Family Blue Grass Festival is today at Forest Park from 1:30-8. For the first time the festival is free for everyone, and organizer John Williams explained that this was top priority.
“We just want to give something to the community for families to do together, and it wouldn’t cost them an arm and a leg,” Williams said.
The only thing anyone needs to bring is something to sit on. Food vendors will be available as well as many giveaways, including a mandolin. With four bands, and a shaded venue, Williams said this is a great way to beat the heat. Visit www.familybluegrassfestival.com for more information.
