BIG LAKE, Mo. — Searchers have found the body of a K-9 dog that was with a state trooper who was swept away Monday by the flooding Missouri River, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. The body of Reed, the dog that was with trooper Frederick Guthrie, Jr., when they disappeared, was found in swift-moving water about 100 yards from Guthrie’s patrol truck and boat. The search for Guthrie is continuing today, Replogle said. He disappeared near Big Lake in northwestern Missouri.
