OTTAWA — It’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and it’s going hot and heavy but in the cool confines of the Ottawa First United Methodist Church. The Sunflower Piecemakers Quilt Guild members and other seamstress volunteers are working a quilt for Allen and Gina Hill’s family as part of the extreme makeover. Quilter Donna Rayson said the quilt must be done before Friday night at 9. Volunteers are needed for the project and they don’t have to be quilters, she said. Helpers and sweepers are also needed, she said. The quilt group has the fabric but needs sewing machines, irons, and ironing boards, she said. Use the handicapped accessible entrance to the basement and report to Rayson or Celia Davis.
