FRANKLIN COUNTY- We may feel like we’re really suffering from the latest heat wave, but we’re doing better than soybean crops. Though a forgiving crop, Franklin County’s Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent Darren Hibdon said the lack of rain as really taken a toll on the soybeans.
“We need a couple different moisture events in order to turn things around and get our soy bean crop going again.” Hibdon said.
Hibdon said this is the driest it’s been in many years.
