GARNETT — Organizers of this Cornstock’s gave every resident of tornado-stricken reading a free ticket to the Craig Morgan concert. Morgan will sing his hit song, “This Ain’t Nothin” in tribute to the people of Reading. A tornado killed one man and destroyed or damaged most of the homes and businesses in the small town at the west edge of Melvern Lake. A delegation from the Anderson County Corn Festival gave 240 tickets to Reading mayor Lonnie Atchison. Cornstock organizers have also started a statewide drive to raise money and collect bottled water for the people of Reading.
